This Edison Disc Phonograph of around 1915-1920 has one of the best sounding acoustic mechanisms of its time housed in a stunning Edwardian cabinet made of quarter sawn oak.

The outside of the cabinet has been meticulously restored using period-correct refinishing materials and methods. The grain was filled with contrasting filler and aniline dye that matched the original inside panels. Amber shellac was French polished over the entire cabinet to create that beautiful, smooth, lustrous glow that these machines had when new. The drawer holds 50+ Edison Discs.

The motor has been cleaned, lubed, and adjusted. It runs smoothly and nearly silently. Speed control works well. Original reproducer with permanent diamond point in excellent condition (with care it should last indefinitely). Standard Edison disc mechanism is robust, plays Edison records and potentially other 78rpm records with an attachment. Included with this machine are several Edison discs to get a collector started.
